Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez, a Mexican-American singer and actress is very popular. When she was a kid Sara was targeted for racial discrimination by American citizens of all races. In the 9th grade, she felt more secure after being acknowledged by her teachers as a success for her performance at school's audition. This not only increased her confidence but her ambitions transformed. At the age of 22 she was a graduate of New York's Julliard School. At the age of 23, her first Broadway appearance in Paul Simon's The Capeman, and her debut film, You've Got Mail were both her big breakthroughs. The role in The lad from The Lake was her most memorable breakthrough, bringing her an award called the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her role. In the following year, when she was Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy on ABC the show, she received more appreciation. Apart from having a cult following as a singer, she also released her own solo album and an extended piece. She's also an activist who works hard for LGBT rights.
