Lita Rossana Ford was born in Britain and was an American musician, singer as well as songwriter. In the late 70s she played as the guitarist in the hard rocking All-girl group The Runaways. The group wasn't successful within the United States, it gained huge popularity abroad. Ford's solo career in heavy metal had a great success following the split of the band. After taking lessons in singing, she debuted her own solo album, 'Out for Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin on the Edge'. Guitar Player Magazine has awarded her The Certified Guitar Legend Award.
