Lisa Olivia Munn was born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kimberly Schmid was born in Vietnam and is of Chinese roots, but her dad Winston Barrett Munn comes from an American family. Olivia was 2 years old at the time her parents separated. She is now raised by her stepfather and mom. He is an United States Air Force soldier. While the family left Oklahoma and lived in a variety of areas, she was educated in Tokyo, Japan. During this time she was a part of various local theater productions and later was a model in the Japanese fashion business. Olivia moved from the United States back to Los Angeles, where she pursued the dream of becoming an actor. After playing a couple of roles in her professional career, she took a very promising turn when she was offered the character of Mily Acuna on the Hawaii-lensed TV series Beyond the Break (2006) and the role as Rob Schneider's receptionist on Big Stan (2007). She hosts G4's podcasts "The Daily Nut" and "Formula D". Following the TV show Beyond the Break, she is still surfing. Also, she has black belts in Taekwondo. In the year 2000, as she was two years old of age, her mother got married. Although the family moved many times, the bulk of her existence was in Tokyo Japan which was the place where her stepfather worked for the military. It was the University of Oklahoma is where she completed her studies in journalism, with a minor in Japanese as well as drama and dramatic arts.
